Career Counseling and Assessment Clinic

The Career Counseling and Assessment Clinic is a nonprofit clinic at the University of Minnesota that has been helping adults in the Twin Cities and surrounding communities with their career transitions since the 1970s.

Our clients come to us from a wide range of career fields and at all stages of the career development process. Using well-validated assessment tools and in-depth knowledge of the career decision-making process, our advanced graduate student counselors help clients make choices that enable them to utilize their talents and abilities to the fullest while increasing their career satisfaction.

The Career Counseling and Assessment Clinic can help you, too! Many of our clients come to us after finding success in their field but feeling a lack of fulfillment. Others seek our services because they are just starting out in their field and want to make informed decisions to put them on the right path from the start. Still others come to our clinic after jumping around from one job to another with the sense that they have never really found their niche in the world of work.

We see clients who have experienced a lay-off and want to make informed decisions about their next career move. Some of our clients come to us hoping to pursue something different after retiring from their current field. Others may be re-entering the workforce after taking time off to raise a family. Our assessment tools and counselors are equipped to handle all these career transition issues.
